A step by step guide to help you resize your photo’s using Adobe Photoshop CS4.
- Open a Picture in Adobe Photoshop CS4.

Step 2
Click “Window” in the menu bar across the top of your screen and select “Actions”.
Now the “Actions” will be open.

At the bottom of the “Actions” window you will see an icon that looks like a file folder, this is the “Create new set” button. Click it and a window will pop up prompting you to name your new set, name it whatever you like and click “OK”
I named mine “Resize”

At the bottom of the “Actions” window to the right of the “Create new set” button you will see another icon this one looks like a small square with a smaller square inside it, it is labeled “Create new action”.
Click the “Create new action” button and a window will pop up, name your action whatever you like then Click “Record”.

Now you’ll notice that at the bottom of the “Actions” window the record button is pressed.
Click on the “Image” menu from the top menu bar and select “Image Size” or press “Control” + “Alt” + “I” to open a pop up window. In the pop up window change the sizes to the size you want (percent’s work too) and click “OK”

Click the “File” menu from the menu bar at the top of the window and select “Save As” or press “Control” + “Shift” + “S”. Now that the “Save As” window is on the screen select where you want the pictures saved, then make sure the box for “As a copy” is checked. Once you finish that click “OK”.

At the bottom of the “Actions” window you will find the “Stop playing/recording” button, Click it.

Click the “File” menu from the menu bar at the top of the window and select “Automate” then select “Batch…”.
Now the “Batch” pop up window will appear.
In the play section select the set and action you just created.
Choose you source and destination folders, I recommend choosing a separate location.
Set up the file naming to your liking.

Click “OK” in the “Batch” menu and watch as Photoshop does all the work for you.
